In Stock ✓ Product Code (SKU): HL32R-T-BLACK
- Category: Fenix Head Torches
The Fenix HL32R-T is an ultralight rechargeable head torch made for trail running, fast hiking and other activities where the beam needs to keep pace without adding unnecessary bulk. Its 800-lumen spotlight reaches 132m, while the neutral-white floodlight spreads softer light across the ground immediately ahead. A stride sensor can raise or lower the output as running pace changes, helping the wearer see further on faster sections without having to manage the brightness constantly.
Output, Beam Distance & Run Time
| Beam | Setting | Output | Beam Distance | Run Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spotlight | High | 800 lumens | 132m | 3 hrs* |
| Spotlight | Medium | 200 lumens | 66m | 8 hrs |
| Spotlight | Low | 70 lumens | 38m | 20 hrs |
| Floodlight | High | 200 lumens | 30m | 8 hrs |
| Floodlight | Medium | 70 lumens | 17m | 20 hrs |
| Floodlight | Low | 5 lumens | 5m | 150 hrs |
| Floodlight | SOS | 5 lumens | – | 300 hrs |
*The quoted High run time includes automatic reductions in output as the head torch regulates temperature and battery use. Actual run time can also vary as the stride sensor adjusts the output.
Two Beams For Pace And Terrain
The cool-white spotlight concentrates the beam further along the trail, making it useful for faster sections, descents and spotting obstacles earlier. The neutral-white floodlight gives a wider, more comfortable view of the ground close to the wearer, which suits climbs, walking and checking equipment. Each beam has its own switch, so changing between them is quick and deliberate. The spotlight and floodlight operate separately and cannot be used together.
Brightness That Responds To Your Stride
When the wearer is running at between 150 and 220 strides per minute, the frequency sensor adjusts the brightness as the pace rises or falls. This provides more reach when speed increases and reduces the output when the pace eases, helping to balance visibility with battery life.
Secure, Comfortable Adjustment
The wide reflective headband spreads the load across a larger area and helps the runner remain visible from the side. Its BOA-style rotary adjuster makes it easy to fine-tune the tension while moving, without stopping to reposition a conventional buckle. The headband can also be removed for cleaning.
Rechargeable Power With An AAA Backup
The supplied Fenix ARB-LP1900 1900mAh battery recharges inside the head torch through USB-C in approximately three hours. Because the battery is removable, it can be exchanged for a charged spare during longer events. Three AAA alkaline or Ni-MH batteries can also power the light when recharging is not practical.
The lowest setting from either beam can be used while charging. AAA batteries must not be charged inside the head torch, and 10440 Li-ion batteries must not be used.
Built For The Trail
The magnesium-alloy housing keeps the head unit light while drawing heat away from the LEDs during extended use. IP66 protection resists heavy rain and dust, while 2m impact resistance helps the light cope with demanding outdoor use. A lockout prevents accidental activation in a kit bag, and the head torch is designed to operate from -35°C to 45°C.
