Smoke Alarms
At Right Light, as part of our Emergency & Safety Lighting range, we source and supply an excellent collection of Optical Smoke Alarms for use in a wide range of premises. Optical Smoke alarms operate by detecting smoke with an infrared LED, this infrared LED shines into the sensor chamber every ten seconds, checking for smoke.
When smoke enters the chamber, infrared light is scattered onto the light receptor. Once the light is scattered, a signal is then sent which triggers the alarm. These alarms are particularly popular for use downstairs in homes, as they are less prone to going into false alarm because of cooking fumes.
