The 30-lumen low setting is better suited to nearby tasks, reading or moving around a campsite without unnecessary glare. Its extended runtime also makes it a useful option when preserving the available battery power matters more than maximum brightness.
Red Light With Direct Access
A double press from off provides direct access to the red light without first activating the brighter white beam. This helps preserve night-adjusted vision and reduces disturbance to other people when checking equipment, reading a map or moving around a tent or shared working area.
The flashing red mode can be used as a visible marker or to help attract attention. Both red modes use a modest 5-lumen output, providing useful close-range visibility without the glare of the main white LED.

The included Fenix ARB-L16-800P rechargeable 16340 battery can be charged inside the head torch through its USB-C port. A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours, with the indicator displaying red during charging and green when complete.
Low white, constant red and flashing red can be used while the charging cable is connected, although the charging time will increase. Because the battery is removable, it can be replaced when it eventually reaches the end of its useful life or exchanged for a compatible charged spare during longer trips.
A non-rechargeable CR123A lithium battery can be used as an emergency alternative. CR123A batteries must not be charged inside the head torch and may not provide access to every output. They are particularly useful in extremely cold conditions, where a suitable CR123A battery can continue operating at temperatures down to approximately -40°C.

A battery-level indicator provides an approximate view of the remaining charge when the supplied Fenix battery is fitted, while the low-voltage warning signals when the battery needs charging or replacing.
