Long-Range Spotlight
The main Luminus SST40 Gen2 LED produces a focused beam reaching up to 195 metres. Turbo provides powerful short-term visibility across larger work areas and open ground, while high and medium offer more sustainable outputs for patrols, route checks, maintenance and general outdoor use.
The lower spotlight settings are useful when less intensity is needed but a defined beam remains preferable. This makes it easier to move between distant inspection and routine hands-free tasks without carrying a separate torch.
High-CRI Light For Detailed Work
The separate OSRAM CRI90 floodlight produces a broad, even beam for close-range work. Its high colour-rendering performance makes wiring, labels, tools, surface condition and component colours appear more natural than they would under a conventional cool-white beam.
With outputs from 5 to 200 lumens, the floodlight can provide comfortable illumination for prolonged inspection, confined-space work, reading and campsite tasks without the concentrated glare of the spotlight.
Useful Red Light With Direct Access
The red-light group offers three brightness levels, reaching a powerful 70 lumens when greater visibility is needed. Lower outputs help preserve night vision and avoid dazzling nearby people when reading instruments, checking equipment or moving around shared spaces after dark.
A double-click of the main switch from off provides direct access to red light. The flashing mode can be used as a visibility or attention signal without cycling through the white settings.
Head Torch, Handheld Torch And Work Light
The right-angle lamp detaches from its headband mounting bracket for use as a compact handheld task light. Its removable pocket clip allows it to be secured to clothing, webbing or equipment, while the magnetic tail cap attaches the lamp to suitable steel surfaces for hands-free vehicle, workshop and maintenance tasks.
The mounting bracket allows the beam angle to be adjusted when the lamp is worn on the head. The HM61R V3.0 is also compatible with suitable Fenix ALG-03 and ALG-04 helmet mounts, making it useful for hard hats and caving helmets.
Intelligent Close-Range Protection
An intelligent proximity sensor can gradually reduce spotlight output when the light-emitting surface is approximately 6cm from an object. This helps limit excessive glare and heat when the lamp is brought close to equipment, clothing or another surface.
The sensor is enabled by default but can be disabled when the working environment requires uninterrupted spotlight output.
Rechargeable And Replaceable Battery
The HM61R V3.0 is supplied with a removable Fenix ARB-L18-4000 18650 rechargeable battery. Its 4000mAh capacity supports up to 300 hours of operation on the lowest floodlight setting, while the replaceable design allows a charged spare to be carried for longer shifts and trips.
The protected internal USB-C port charges the fitted battery in approximately 2.5 hours, depending on the power source. A battery-level indicator beneath the switch cover displays the remaining charge before use, while low-voltage protection gradually reduces output as the battery approaches depletion.
Two CR123A or two compatible 16340 batteries can be used as alternatives, although fewer brightness levels and shorter run times may be available. CR123A and 16340 batteries must not be charged inside the lamp.
Simple Dual-Switch Control
Separate main and mode switches make it easier to change brightness and move between spotlight, floodlight and red-light groups. The intelligent memory circuit recalls the previously used spotlight or floodlight mode and output, providing quicker access to a preferred everyday setting.
An electronic lockout helps prevent accidental activation during storage or transport. Intelligent overheat protection also reduces output when necessary to control the lamp’s temperature during prolonged high-power use.

The A6061-T6 aluminium body has a hard-anodised, abrasion-resistant finish for regular industrial and outdoor use. The lamp is impact resistant to two metres and its IP68 rating provides complete protection against dust and allows submersion in water to a depth of two metres.
The wide reflective headband and overhead strap distribute the lamp’s weight securely, helping it remain stable during active work and movement.
