The Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 is a high-performance rechargeable head torch designed for trail running, ultramarathons and other fast-moving outdoor activities. Its lightweight magnesium construction, secure rotary-adjustment headband and choice of white or warm-white light provide comfortable, adaptable illumination across changing terrain and weather conditions. White And Warm-White Lighting
The HM65R-T V2.0 uses separate white and warm-white LEDs rather than combining a conventional spotlight and floodlight. The white beam reaches further and provides the maximum 1600-lumen output, making it well suited to faster sections of trail where obstacles, turns and route markers need to be identified at a distance.
The warm-white beam produces a softer 3000K light that penetrates fog more effectively and can improve visual comfort in mist, rain and other difficult conditions. Each light source has its own top-mounted switch, allowing the appropriate beam and brightness to be selected quickly. The white and warm-white LEDs are used separately rather than simultaneously.
Designed For Trail Running
The two-way SPORT headband fit system uses a rotary dial for quick, precise adjustment. It can be tightened or loosened with one hand, making it easier to obtain a secure fit without interrupting a run. The wider, perforated headband helps spread the load comfortably and includes reflective detailing to improve visibility from other directions.
An emergency whistle is incorporated into the headband buckle, providing a useful additional safety feature for remote routes and organised trail events.
Rechargeable And Replaceable Battery
The head torch is supplied with a removable Fenix ARB-L18-3400 18650 rechargeable battery. It can be charged inside the lamp through the protected USB-C port, with a typical charging time of approximately three hours when used with a suitable 5V/2A adaptor.
A battery-level indicator shows the remaining charge before use, helping runners judge whether a recharge or spare battery will be needed. Because the battery is replaceable, a charged spare can also be carried for overnight events and longer journeys.
The head torch can alternatively be powered by two CR123A batteries or two compatible Fenix ARB-L16 16340 rechargeable batteries. These alternative batteries must be removed and charged in a suitable external charger; they cannot be recharged through the head torch’s USB-C port.
Lightweight And Weather-Resistant Construction
The magnesium-alloy body helps keep the complete head torch to 140g, including the battery and headband, while providing the durability needed for regular outdoor use. The lamp carries an IP68 rating, withstands immersion in water to a depth of two metres and is impact resistant to two metres.
A lockout function helps prevent the light from being switched on accidentally in a kit bag. Intelligent overheat protection regulates the output when necessary, while reverse-polarity protection guards against incorrect battery insertion. A low-voltage warning provides advance notice when the fitted Fenix ARB-L18 battery is approaching depletion.
