The Fenix HM75R SE is a versatile rechargeable head torch developed for industrial work, caving, maintenance and demanding outdoor use. Its compact magnesium-alloy body combines a 1600-lumen long-range spotlight, a wide neutral-white floodlight and a powerful red beam in one 169g head unit. A metal rotary selector gives direct access to each lighting group, while the removable battery and optional rear battery extender make the HM75R SE adaptable to both everyday work and longer-duration activities.

Three Beams For Different Tasks
The focused 6500K spotlight reaches up to 223 metres, making it the best choice for inspecting distant areas, navigating large sites and seeing further ahead underground or outdoors. Its four brightness settings allow the beam to be reduced when maximum range is unnecessary, extending the available run time.
The two 4000K neutral-white floodlight LEDs spread light across a much wider area. This creates a more useful view for close work, equipment checks and moving through confined or uneven spaces, while the warmer colour temperature presents surfaces with a more natural appearance and feels less harsh at short range.
The red light offers considerably more versatility than a basic low-output marker. Its 120-lumen high setting can illuminate a useful working area while creating less glare than the white beams, and the lower levels help preserve dark-adapted vision. Flash provides a long-running signal when attracting attention is more important than lighting the surrounding area.
Direct Rotary Mode Selection
A metal rotary switch selects spotlight, floodlight or Red Light without requiring the wearer to cycle through unrelated modes. Once the required lighting group is selected, the central push button changes its brightness. This arrangement is quick to understand and remains practical when the job or environment changes frequently.
Automatic Proximity Protection
The switchable intelligent brightness-downshifting function detects when the lamp is approximately 60mm from an illuminated object. If it remains close for more than 1.5 seconds, the HM75R SE reduces the output to low to help prevent heat damage to the light or nearby material. Moving the lamp away allows it to return to the previously selected level, which is particularly useful if it is accidentally activated against clothing, equipment or the inside of a bag.
Replaceable Battery And USB-C Charging
The included Fenix ARB-L18-3400 is a removable 3400mAh 18650 rechargeable battery. It can be charged inside the head torch through the protected USB-C port in approximately four hours, while the four-level indicator provides a quick check of the remaining charge. Because the battery is replaceable, a charged compatible spare can be fitted during extended work instead of waiting for the light to recharge.
Two CR123A non-rechargeable batteries can be used as an alternative emergency power source. CR123A batteries must not be charged inside the head torch.
Optional Battery-Extender Upgrade
This is the lighter HM75R SE version and does not include the rear battery extender supplied with the full HM75R. The optional Fenix HM75R Battery Extender can be purchased separately to add a rear-mounted battery holder, a Fenix ARB-L21-5000 rechargeable battery and the required USB-C cable. This increases the available energy for longer activities and distributes some of the power-system weight towards the back of the head.
Memory And Safer Restart
The intelligent memory circuit recalls the previously selected output within each lighting mode, reducing the need to reset the lamp whenever it is switched on. If the spotlight or floodlight was switched off in turbo, it restarts in high rather than immediately returning to maximum output.
Lightweight Magnesium Construction
The high-strength magnesium-alloy body keeps the complete head torch to 169g including its battery while also helping dissipate heat during prolonged use. The adjustable lamp angle allows the beam to be directed towards the route ahead or down onto a close task without repositioning the headband.
Comfortable Headband And Helmet Compatibility
The breathable headband is detachable for cleaning and includes reflective detailing to make the wearer easier to notice when illuminated by another light source. The HM75R SE is also compatible with the optional Fenix ALG-03 and ALG-04 helmet mounts, allowing it to be fitted to suitable hard hats and caving helmets.
Protection For Demanding Environments
IP68 protection makes the HM75R SE dustproof and allows it to withstand submersion to 2 metres for up to four hours. It is also impact resistant to 2 metres. Intelligent overheat protection reduces output if the lamp reaches approximately 60°C, helping protect the electronics and the user during prolonged high-output operation.
