Three Useful Types Of Light
The focused spotlight reaches up to 175 metres, making it the best choice for seeing further along a dark path, trail or work area. For close-range tasks, the floodlight creates a softer and wider spread of light that is more comfortable when reading, preparing equipment, working with tools or moving around a campsite.
The flood beam uses a high colour-rendering LED, helping colours and fine details appear more natural than they would under a typical cool-white beam. This is particularly useful for inspection work, map reading and tasks where accurately distinguishing wires, markings or materials matters.
Red-light modes provide discreet close-range illumination while reducing the effect on the user’s natural night vision. They are useful around other people, when checking equipment in darkness or when a bright white light would cause unnecessary glare.
Comfortable For Active Use
The compact lamp and 18350 battery keep the weight at the front of the head relatively low, making the HM55R well suited to running, walking and activities involving regular movement. The headband distributes the load securely, while the lamp can be angled down towards the ground or a close working area.
Replaceable Battery & USB-C Charging
A Fenix ARB-L18-1600 rechargeable battery is included and can be charged through the head torch’s USB-C port. Unlike a permanently sealed power system, the removable battery can be replaced when it eventually wears out or exchanged for a compatible charged spare during longer trips.
Ready For Difficult Conditions
The aluminium housing provides greater durability than a basic plastic head torch, while IP68 protection makes the HM55R suitable for rain, mud, dust and demanding outdoor environments. Its large side switch also provides straightforward control without requiring several small buttons on the front of the lamp.
