Choose the beam for the task
The spotlight helps you identify distant features during searches or route finding. Switch to floodlight for a wider view when inspecting equipment or working nearby. Combined mode brings both together, so you can follow the route and see the ground around you without changing beams repeatedly. Red light provides an alternative when bright white illumination would be disruptive, with a flashing setting for signalling.
Straightforward control
Turn the rotary switch to select the lighting mode, then press the central button to adjust brightness. This separates beam selection from output adjustment and makes it easier to return to a useful setting. White-light modes remember their previous brightness, with high recalled after turbo. Holding the button for 1.2 seconds accesses turbo; after 60 seconds it returns to the previous setting. The rotary lockout helps prevent activation in a bag.
Optional proximity sensing
When enabled, the sensor reduces white-light brightness to low when an object is within approximately 6cm, helping limit heat build-up against nearby surfaces. It restores the previous brightness once the object has been out of range for more than 0.8 seconds. The sensor is disabled by default and can be toggled by holding the button for six seconds while the lamp is off.
Replaceable power and a secure fit
The included Fenix ARB-L21-5500 protected 21700 battery charges through the USB-C port and can be exchanged for a compatible charged battery. Four indicators show the remaining charge. The lamp can operate while charging except in turbo. A wide reflective headband and overhead strap support the lamp, while 90-degree adjustment directs the beam onto your route or work area.
